YOU DESERVE MORE THAN “YOU’LL BE IN MENOPAUSE NOW”

When both ovaries are removed, menopause can happen abruptly. Yet many women aren’t fully prepared for the physical, cognitive, sexual, urinary, or emotional changes that may follow.

You may be wondering:

  • Which questions should I ask before surgery?
  • Who will manage my surgical menopause care afterward?
  • Could my current symptoms be connected to ovary removal?
  • Which hormonal or nonhormonal choices should I discuss?
  • Do I need different bone, heart, or long-term health monitoring?

You don’t have to remember everything while sitting in the examination room. This guide helps you gather your questions and information in one calm, practical place.

    CREATED FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I had a hysterectomy at 39, but my ovaries were initially left intact. Years later, extensive adhesions caused my ovaries to become wrapped around my small intestine, and they had to be removed.

Although the surgery was medically necessary, I wasn’t fully prepared for everything surgical menopause could mean. I created this guide to help other women enter these conversations with more information, better questions, and the reassurance that they don’t have to navigate the experience alone.
